Bring on next season!

The season is over – and what a great success it has been both on the field for our Wigan Athletic but also for us here at Wigan Athletic Travel And Supporters Club in establishing a quality product for our away fans. Many thanks to all who have bene with us on the journey – we look forward to seeing you all again next season.

The boys won 2-1 at champions Portsmouth - who we wish the very best to for next season in the Championship. With three ex-Tics in the squad we hope they do well. The same to Sam Morsey and his Ipswich Town, along with Paul Cook and the Latics old boys at Chesterfield. The lads who left have done well and we're proud of them.

It was one of those rare days when all fans are happy. Our team won the game, whilst they celebrated the League One title - and not a single fan went on the pitch at full time.

We stayed to applaud the champions, as Wigan supporters are fair. We applauded our team first for an entertaining display of football.

During the 90 minutes our travelling support voted Sam Tickle as man of the game. It was also great to see Josh Magennis score on his 500th league appearance and a footballing performance by the team fo pure class.

Sam Tickle's Shirt

Our partner at Standards of The Wiend have been busy. They framed a shirt donated to Wigan Athletic Travel and Supporters Club by none other than our wonder goalkeeper Sam Tickle! The shirt will be mounted on a wall of our home, Whelans Sports Bar, for all supporters to see!

With the weekender and the day tripper coaches carrying supporters to Portsmouth we draw the travelling season to an end. A great thanks to everyone who travelled with us. We hope you enjoyed the journeys.
